False news reaches ROMEO and everything is set in motion. ROMEO will stop at nothing to get what he wants, even resorting to more killing.
Even the NURSE advises JULIET to forget ROMEO and marry PARIS. JULIET is desperate for help and seeks the council of FRIAR LAURENCE, who still believes that ROMEO and JULIET are the key to a lasting peace between the House of Montague and the House of Capulet. Some drastic measures are taken that require precise planning.
ROMEO runs to his mentor, FRIAR LAURENCE, for guidance, but tough love is hard to hear! ROMEO and JULIET are granted one final night together before ROMEO needs to flee Verona at the PRINCE'S decree. JULIET and ROMEO are sure that they will be together again soon, but CAPULET has other plans.
What do you do when your husband is forced to uphold his honor and kills your beloved cousin in self defense? The NURSE tells JULIET of recent events and JULIET has to make a decision.
Love is powerful, but passion can often get in the way of reason. TYBALT, feeling insulted by ROMEO, wants to defend her honor. ROMEO does not want to fight, and MERCUTIO, unaware that TYBALT is now ROMEO'S kinsman, is furious at ROMEO'S refusal to fight. Knives and cleavers cut through the air as scores are settled at great costs.
MERCUTIO and BENVOLIO wonder where ROMEO disappeared last night. The NURSE is sent to seek out ROMEO, and later finds an anxious JULIET awaiting news. Will there be a marriage after all?
ROMEO climbs the walls of CAPULET'S property to find JULIET sitting by her window. JULIET and her ROMEO are enraptured by the power of love and revel in each other's company, culminated in the exchange of marriage vows. FRIAR LAURENCE becomes privy to this unrequited love.
MERCUTIO eloquently convinces ROMEO that his dreams are nothing but that, dreams! Stop being so melodramatic! The boys, BENVOLIO, MERCUTIO, and ROMEO, head to CAPULET'S party by the Boathouse, and the stage is set for the Star Crossed Lovers to meet for the first time.
Everyone wants something! PARIS is seeking JULIET'S hand in marriage, and the rivalry for dominance between the butcher families MONTAGUE and CAPULET is violently disturbing the peace of Verona. ROMEO, a Montague, seems more interested in ROSALINE and her beauty. BENVOLIO challenges ROMEO that there are more fish in the sea, which he can prove at CAPULET'S party.
